क्रिकेटर दीपक चाहर ने किया आगरा का नाम रोशन, रचे नए कीर्तिमान
भारतीय क्रिकेट टीम के तेज गेंदबाज दीपक चाहर ने टी 20 अंतरराष्टीय क्रिकेट में 10 नवंबर को नागपुर में एक नया विश्व कीर्तिमान स्थापित किया। चाहर ने बांगलादेश के खिलाफ सर्वश्रेष्ठ गेंदबाजी करते हुए 3.2 ओवर में 6 खिलाड़ियों को आउट किया। इससे पहले टी – 20 में सर्वश्रेष्ठ गेंदबाजी का रिकार्ड श्रीलंका के मेंडिस के नाम था, जिन्होंने 4 ओवर में 8 रन देकर 6 खिलाड़ियों को आउट किया था। दीपक ने इस तीसरे टी – 20 में हैट्रिक भी बनाई। इसके चलते चाहर को मैच का सर्वश्रेष्ठ खिलाड़ी चुना गया। दीपक ने 5.42 की इकॉनामी से पूरी सीरीज में 7 रन की औसत से कुल 8 विकेट लिए। इसके लिए मैन ऑफ द सीरीज भी घोषित किया गया।

पिता लोकेंद्र चाहर ने दीपक को क्रिकेटर बनाने के लिए एयरफोर्स की नौकरी छोड़ दी थी। दीपक जब दस साल के ही थे, तब पिता ने जयपुर जिला क्रिकेट एकेडमी में उनका दाखिला करा दिया था। दीपक के चचेरे भाई राहुल चाहर भी भारतीय टीम का हिस्सा हैं। इससे पिछली टी-20 शृंखला में दीपक को आखिरी मैच में खेलने का मौका मिला था। सामने टीम थी वेस्टइंडीज की। दीपक ने तीन ओवर में चार रन देकर तीन विकेट लिए थे। यह वेस्टइंडीज के खिलाफ टी-20 में भारत की ओर से किसी गेंदबाज का सर्वश्रेष्ठ प्रदर्शन था।
