आगरा में है एक बेबी ताज भी
आगरा में विश्वप्रसिद्ध ताजमहल तो है ही,परंतु आपको यह जानकर आश्चर्य होगा कि यहाँ एक बेबी ताज भी है। यह है एत्मादुद्दौला। शहर के मध्य यमुना किनारे बना हुआ यह स्मारक ताजमहल जैसी आकृति का नजर आता है। धवल संगमरमरी स्मारक होने के कारण इसे “बेबी ताज” के नाम से भी पुकारा जाता है। यहां के बाग, पीट्रा ड्यूरा पच्चीकारी, व कई घटक ताजमहल से मिलते हुए हैं। यह स्मारक मुगलकालीन निर्माण शैली का अद्भुत व अद्वितीय उदाहरण है।
यह मकबरा भारत में बना पहला मकबरा है जो पूरी तरह सफेद संगमरमर से बनाया गया था, अर्थात यह ताजमहल से भी पहले बना है। हालाँकि इसका मुख्य दरवाजा और जिस चबूतरे पर एतमादुद्दौला का मकबरा बना है उनमे लाल पत्थर का ही इस्तेमाल किया गया है। कई जगह यहां की नक्काशी ताजमहल से भी ज्यादा खूबसूरत लगती है। कहते है ताज को जब बनाया जा रहा था तब इसी मकबरे को देख कर उसका ढांचा तैयार किया गया था फिर भी खूबसूरती में ये मकबरा ताज की बिल्कुल भी बराबरी नहीं कर पाता लेकिन इसमें जो चित्र कला और जाली का काम है वो ताज महल से कही ज्यादा बेहतर है।
एत्मादुद्दौला का निर्माण सन 1622-28 के बीच मुगल बादशाह जहाँगीर के काल में हुआ था। सम्राज्ञी नूरजहां ने अपने पिता घियास-उद-दीन बेग़,की स्मृति में इसे बनवाया था। घियास-उद-दीन बेग़, जहांगीर के दरबार में मंत्री थे। मिर्जा घियास-उद-दीन बेग़ ईरान के रहने वाले थे और बादशाह अकबर की दरवार में सेवारत थे। बादशाह जहाँगीर ने नूरजहाँ से निकाह करने के पश्चात उन्हें अपना बजीर बना दिया था। “ऐत्मादुद्दौला” का अर्थ है खजाने का रक्षक। मिर्ज़ा जहांगीर के विश्वस्त मंत्रियों में से थे। इसलिये उन्हें सात मनसब और “ऐत्मादुद्दौला” (शाही कोषाध्यक्ष) का पद प्राप्त था। मिर्जा की पत्नी की मृत्यु के कुछ महीने बाद ही सन 1622 में उनकी मृत्यू हुई। नूरजहाँ ने अपने माता-पिता के लिए यह मकबरा सन 1622-28 के मध्य बनवाया। अपने पिता की उपाधि “ऐत्मादुद्दौला” के नाम पर ही इस स्मारक का नाम “ऐत्मादुद्दौला” रख दिया।
यह स्मारक भारतीय पुरातत्व सर्वेक्षण द्वारा संरक्षित इमारतों में से एक है।

There is also a Baby Taj in Agra
There is a world famous Taj Mahal in Agra, but you will be surprised to know that there is also a baby Taj here. This is Etmaduddaula. This monument, built on the banks of the Yamuna in the middle of the city, looks like the Taj Mahal. It is also known as “Baby Taj” because of Dhaval Sangamari Memorial. The gardens here, the Petra Dura mosaic, and many components meet the Taj Mahal. This monument is a wonderful and unique example of Mughal style of construction.
This mausoleum is the first mausoleum built in India which was made entirely of white marble, that is, it was built even before the Taj Mahal. However, its main door and the platform on which the tomb of Etmaduddaula is built, only red stone has been used. In many places the carvings here look more beautiful than the Taj Mahal. It is said that when the Taj was being built, its structure was built by looking at this tomb, yet this tomb in beauty could not match the Taj at all, but the painting and fake work in it is from the Taj Mahal. Is much better.
Etmaduddaula was built between 1622-28 during the reign of Mughal emperor Jahangir. It was built by Emperor Nur Jahan in memory of his father Ghiyas-ud-din Beg. Ghiyas-ud-din Beg was a minister in the court of Jahangir. Mirza Ghiyas-ud-din Baig was a resident of Iran and served in the court of Emperor Akbar. Emperor Jahangir made him his bazir after marrying Nur Jahan. “Aitmaduddaula” means the keeper of the treasure. Mirza was one of Jehangir’s trusted ministers. Therefore, he had the status of seven mansab and “Aitmaduddaula” (royal treasurer). Mirza’s wife died in 1622, a few months after his wife’s death. Nur Jahan built this tomb for his parents between 1622-28. After the name of his father’s title “Aitmaduddaula”, this monument was named “Aitmaduddaula”.
This monument is one of the buildings protected by the Archaeological Survey of India.
