प्याज ने निकाले गरीबों के आंसू
आगरा में प्याज ने गरीबों के आंसू निकाल दिए हैं। प्याज और हरीमिर्च से रोटी खा कर पेट भरने वाले मजदूरों व सड़क के किनारे रह कर गुजर बसर करने वालों के लिए प्याज अब दुर्लभ वस्तु हो गई है। शहर में अच्छा सेब 80 से 100 रुपए तक मिल जाता है और प्याज का भाव भी सेब की बराबरी करतें हुए 80 रुपयों तक पहुंच गया है, और लगता है कि यदि यही स्थिति जारी रही तो निकट भविष्य में 100 रुपये भी हो सकता है। यह हाल तो तब है जबकि पितृपक्ष होने के कारण प्याज की मांग अभी कम है। इसके बाद नवदुर्गे आरंभ हो जाएंगे तब भी प्याज की मांग कम ही रहेगी।बाद में मांग बढ़ने और आपूर्ति कम होने पर प्याज के भावों में और अधिक उछाल आएगा।
कुछ ऐसा संयोग है कि प्रतिवर्ष इन्हीं दिनों में प्याज के भाव बढ़ते हैं और जब कहीं चुनाव होने वाले हों तब प्याज अवश्य एक पक्ष के लिए संबल और दूसरे पक्ष के लिए कमजोरी बन कर सामने आ जाती है। पहले भी कई चुनाव प्याज के नाम पर लड़े गए या प्याज मुख्य मुद्दा रहा।
ऐसा नहीं है कि प्याज आगरा में ही रुला रही हो सारे देश में प्याज के दाम आसमान छू रहे हैं। अन्य शहरों में भी जो प्याज 15 रुपए बिकती थी, अब वही प्याज 80 रूपए तक पहुंच गई है। मुंबई में भी इस समय प्याज 75 से 80 रुपए प्रति किलो बिक रही है। अभी कुछ ही दिन पहले दिल्ली में प्याज 30 रुपये से 40 रूपये किलो के बीच बिक रही थी, लेकिन चंद दिन में ही वो भाव 80 तक पहुंच चुका है। प्याज की कीमत में अचानक आई तेजी से हर कोई हैरान है। गुरुग्राम में भी 80 रुपये किलो, पटना में करीब 70 रुपये, कोलकाता में 70 से 75 रुपये और चेन्नई में ये भाव 60 रुपये किलो के उपर ही है। नासिक के व्यापारियों की माने तो फिलहाल प्याज की कीमत गिरने नहीं जा रही है।यहां थोक भाव 4400 प्रति क्विंटल है।
प्याज का उत्पादन करने वाले राज्यों महाराष्ट्र और गुजरात में प्याज की फसल नष्ट होने से अन्य राज्यों में आवक कम हो गई है पिछले साल के सूखे ने और इस बार मॉनसून की देरी ने मुश्किलें बढ़ा दीं। इस बार कई जगहों पर मूसलाधार बारिश की वजह से बड़े पैमाने पर प्याज की फसल भी बर्बाद हो गई। नतीजा मंडियों में सप्लाई कम हो गई और कीमतें खरीदारों को रुलाने लगीं।प्याज के व्यापारियों द्वारा कालाबाज़ारी व जमाखोरी भी प्याज की किल्लत का एक कारण माना जा रहा है।
सरकार ने इस सम्बंध में कोई ठोस उपाय नहीं किया है, केवल मंत्रियों ने कुछ बयान अवश्य दिए हैं। सरकार नवंबर माह का इंतजार कर रही है जब स्वतः ही भाव कम होना शुरू हो जाएंगे। दिल्ली में मुख्यमंत्री ने प्याज को कम भावों में बेचने की घोषणा की है, हो सकता है दिल्ली के लोगों को कुछ राहत मिले।

According to Nashik traders, the price of onion is not going to fall at the moment. The wholesale price here is 4400 per quintal.
The onion crop in the onion-producing states of Maharashtra and Gujarat has reduced inward arrivals in other states, with last year’s drought and this time the delay of the monsoon added to the problems. This time, onion crop was also destroyed on a large scale due to torrential rains in many places. As a result, the supply in the mandis decreased and prices started making buyers cry. Black marketing and hoarding by the traders of interest is also considered as a reason for onion shortage.
The government has not taken any concrete measures in this regard, only the ministers have made some statements. The government is waiting for the month of November, when prices will automatically start declining. In Delhi, the Chief Minister has announced to sell onions at low prices, maybe some relief to the people of Delhi.
