पूरे देश में 29 सितंबर 2019 से शारदीय नवरात्र प्रारंभ हो रहे हैं। शारदीय नवरात्रि को मुख्य नवरात्रि माना जाता है। हिन्दू कैलेंडर के अनुसार यह नवरात्रि शरद ऋतु में अश्विन शुक्ल पक्ष से शुरू होती हैं और पूरे नौ दिनों तक चलती हैं। इंग्लिश कैलेंडर के अनुसार यह त्योहार हर साल सितंबर-अक्टूबर के महीने में आता है। इस बार शारदीय नवरात्रि 29 सितंबर से शुरू होकर 07 अक्टूबर तक हैं। 08 अक्टूबर को विजयदशमी या दशहरा मनाया जाएगा।
आगरा में भी सारे शहर में देवी दुर्गा की मूर्तियां, उनके श्रृंगार का सामान, पोशाक व लाल चुनरियाँ दूकानों पर बिक रहीं हैं। इसके अतिरिक्त व्रत व पूजा की सामग्री खरीदने वाले श्रद्धालुओं की भीड़ भी दूकानों पर लगी हैं। इन दिनों मंदिरों में व अन्य सार्वजनिक स्थलों पर देवी जागरण व भंडारों का भी आयोजन किया जाता है।

पहला दिन, 29 सितंबर 2019: प्रतिपदा, कलश स्थापना, चंद्र दर्शन और शैलपुत्री पूजन

The Sharadiya Navratri is starting from 29 September 2019 across the country. Sharadiya Navaratri is considered to be the main Navratri. According to the Hindu calendar, this Navratri starts from Ashwin Shukla Paksha in autumn and lasts for a full nine days. According to the English calendar, this festival falls in the month of September-October every year. This time Sharadiya Navaratri starts from 29th September till 7th October. Vijayadashami or Dussehra will be celebrated on 08 October.
In Agra too, idols of Goddess Durga, her makeup, dress and red chuniya are being sold at shops all over the city. Apart from this, crowds of devotees buying fast and worship materials are also engaged in shops. These days Goddess Jagran and Bhandars are also organized in temples and other public places.
The dates of Sharadiya Navratri are as follows –
First day, 29 September 2019: Pratipada, Kalash installation, Chandra Darshan and Shailputri Pujan
Second day, 30 September 2019: Dwitiya, Bahmacharini worship
Third day, 01 October 2019: Tritiya, Chandraghanta Pujan
Fourth day, 02 October 2019: Chaturthi, Kushmanda Pujan
The fifth day, 03 October 2019: Panchami, Skandmata Pujan
Sixth day, 04 October 2019: Shashthi, Saraswati Pujan
Seventh day, 05 October 2019: Saptami, Katyayani Puja
Eighth day, 06 October 2019: Ashtami, Kalratri Pujan, Kanya Puja
